A piece of Olympic history is now permanently at the Hockey Hall of Fame.

The puck which Sidney Crosby slammed into Team USA's net during the now-famous overtime game, bringing home the gold medal for Canada, was unveiled at the Hall Wednesday morning.

Over 100 fans and media watched as the black puck with the Olympic logo on it was put into a glass case, already displaying other hockey collectibles from the Vancouver games last month.

"I am very happy to that the puck is going to the Hockey Hall of Fame," said Crosby in a statement. "I feel very lucky to have been part of that team and that game, as well, and I'm glad fans will get the chance to share the moment by seeing the over-time winning puck up close."
