World Wrestling Entertainment apologized for a blue comment made during a match on this week's "Monday Night Raw" broadcast referencing Kobe Bryant's 2003 sexual assault allegations in Eagle, Colo.

Charges were dropped by the accuser before the case reached trial.

A ring manager, Abraham Washington, commented on air that wrestler Titus O'Neil was "like Kobe Bryant at a hotel in Colorado -- he's unstoppable."

Washington apologized for being "inappropriate and insensitive."

A WWE official released a statement published by TMZ.com: "A.W. made an inappropriate comment and WWE immediately apologized. WWE has taken appropriate action in the matter."
