Stars and stripes and shamrocks for 2010

By BOB MACKIN, 24 HOURS

The stars and stripes will fly at a new Seymour Street condo development and Irish eyes will be smiling nearby.

Onni Developments’ extended-stay tower Level will host United States Olympic House during the 2010 Winter Olympics.

“It’s been a great partnership for us to be able to work with the U.S. Olympic Committee in establishing a great hospitality house for them,” said Onni executive vice-president Chris Evans. “I probably can’t comment too much further than that.”

USOC director of marketing and event services Jerri Roush could not be reached for comment.

Evans said more than half of Level’s 187 furnished units are booked before and during the Games.

Meanwhile, Doolin’s Irish Pub at Nelson and Granville will host the Olympic Council of Ireland’s pavilion in February.
