EDMONTON -- The 2009 Roar of the Rings looks like it'll be another record-breaker for curling attendance.
The Edmonton-hosted '05 Brier set an all-time mark of 281,985, and the '07 Worlds at Rexall Place did the same for that event with 184,970.
Already, ticket sales for the Olympic Trials in the Alberta capital, from which men's and women's teams will be determined to represent Canada at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games, are closing in on 134,844 for the compact 18-draw, eight-day event.
The Trials run Dec. 6-13.
