The Olympic torch relay is about to become a big-name event.

Entertainer Michael Buble and former action star and current governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger will carry the torch later in the week, VANOC announced in a statement today.

Schwarzenegger will run with the torch early Friday morning in Stanley Park, with the torch also being carried by Walter Gretzky, father of Wayne Gretzky, Canucks legend Stan Smyl and former Whitecaps star Bob Lenarduzzi. Hall of Fame kicker Lui Passaglia will also hold the torch high shortly after noon on Friday in Vancouver.
