Some late-game heroics carried the Canadian women's curling team to a 6-5 win against Britain Tuesday.

With a 7-1 record, the Cheryl Bernard-led squad was forced into an extra 11th end against the Brits, who were led by 19-year-old skip Eve Muirhead.

The Canucks are now the top-seeded team heading into Thursday's semifinal against Switzerland.

They will complete their round-robin games Tuesday night, taking on Russia, who have a 3-5 record at the Vancouver Games.
