SFU Social Innovation Case Competition 2013 Finals SFU Surrey March 23rd, 2013 (12:15PM – 4:30PM) SICC is an annual case competition focusing on the growing need for social innovation that brings together some of the brightest SFU undergraduate students to address social issues and present potential solutions to these social issues. "SICC provided me the experience of working in a dynamic team environment and an analytical approach to social innovation. It is one of my memorable experiences of professional business education." – Previous Competitor In SICC students are put into teams of 3 and given 24 hours to analyze a case, create a presentation and present their recommendations to a panel of industry professionals Social Entrepreneurship SFU allows students at SFU to learn, engage in and practice the ideas of social entrepreneurship. It is our purpose to provide an atmosphere that supports innovative ideas and makes students feel confident and empowered to use their academic knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit to the benefit of their community.
