In the spirit of Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), Kelly Ann Woods, proudly at the helm of La Mezcaleria's bar located on Commercial Drive offers a recipe for a Tepache Cocktail. Tepache is a traditional alcohol from Mexico made of the flesh and rind of pineapple, then sweetened with sugar and cinnamon.

Homemade Tepache
Highball glass
Tajin rim
Fill with ice
1.5 oz Cabrito Bianco silver tequila
1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
Fill with Tepache
Garnish with a pineapple leaf

The Tepache will be featured at La Mezcaleria until November 1st in celebration of Dia De Los Muertos.
