BC joins 19 other locations across Canada in first-ever Etsy Made in Canada.

On Saturday, September 27, 23 locations across Canada will host a one-day marketplace, bringing together local Etsy sellers and communities in celebration of the country's maker movement. As part of the first-ever Made in Canada event, Robson Square in Vancouver (800 Robson St), Nanaimo Museum in Nanaimo (98 Front St), Victoria Public Market at the Hudson in Victoria (1701 Douglas St) and Sandhill Winery in Kelowna (1125 Richter St) will host markets showcasing Etsy's handmade and vintage goods.

In collaboration with Emily Carr Etsy Team, visit the Vancouver edition of Made in Canada at Robson Square. From 10am to 5pm, shop 57 local Etsy sellers including personalized iPhone cases from Field Trip, vintage prints and decor from anewall, and bold, luxurious fashion statements from Thii.

"Made in Canada is a part of Etsy's recent initiative to take the online marketplace offline, creating the opportunity for our local sellers to connect with each other, and with buyers," said Erin Green, Country Manager, Etsy Canada. "We are really proud to be supporting local Etsy sellers across the country, such as in Vancouver, and fostering creative collaborations and the growth of the maker movement in Canada!"

"We are thrilled to be on of the 23 locations in Canada to be hosting a pop-up marketplace on September 27," said Crystal Ho, Co-host of Vancouver's Robson Square marketplace. "Vancouver has a thriving community of Etsy sellers, so be sure to come say hello and check out all the fantastic products!"

For those Canadians unable to visit a Made in Canada marketplace close to them, they can shop online as of Sept. 18, where all Etsy items available in the live marketplaces can also be found on a dedicated landing page seen at

Made in Canada is the newest addition to the company's ongoing offline initiatives, like the recent Etsy Road Trip, aiming to connect sellers to their community of fellow makers and local shoppers as well as facilitate creative collaborations. In addition to extensive marketing and public relations support, Etsy provided a two-day "boot camp" training session for all team captains last spring in Toronto; supplied a PR tool kit on how to locally promote the event; and tips on how to secure a venue and attract local sellers to name a few. The Sept. 27 cross country marketplace will demonstrate the breadth of maker cutler and growing entrepreneurship across Canada.
