Get Active with Alzheimer BC to Fight Dementia

ASBC Walk for Memories

By ASBC Walk for Memories

BC – On Sunday, January 25th, 24 communities across British Columbia will walk in the Investors Group Walk for Memories to support the Alzheimer Society of BC. Funds raised will help the 70,000 BC families who are affected by dementia and support the ongoing search for a cure.

Each year, the Alzheimer Society of BC brings communities together for the Walk for Memories in order to fight dementia. This annual event features local entertainment for the whole family, brings awareness to a great cause, and shows those affected by dementia that they are not alone in their journey.

Remember: what’s good for the heart is good for your brain. Take care of your own brain health, gather friends, family, and co-workers, and honour the memory or celebrate the life of a person living with dementia. An estimated 39 per cent of British Columbians know someone with dementia — who will you walk for?
